Some say you can’t be cited if the cop didn’t see you with the keys in your own vehicle. This doesn’t make sense as it’s the driver and not the car that did the deed. If you hit something while operating a motor vehicle, and then got drunk after that happened they you may be charged with a DUI. In some cases the police can be a bit heavy on you since they may have no way to prove you were not drunk before the incident. In any sense, don’t admit to anything - just keep your mouth shut and get a lawyer.
